i have had a 5 way bypass and am diabetic. i have no insurance and dont qualify for public assistance. Any ideas on help to get the meds i need and can afford

With you having diabetes, and other serious health problems, you may qualify for SSI or SSDI through Social Security. Even if you are able to work, they may qualify you for Medicaid, depending on your income. You can fill out the application for SSI, SSDI, and Medicaid on the Social Security website at: http://www.ssa.gov. Do not make assumptions about qualifications; you may be surprised.
Also, you may qualify for food stamps if you are unable to work. Most food stamp offices can assist you with applying for Medicaid.
There is no shame in applying for these assistance programs. They are there for exactly that reason.
Another un-tapped source is local churches. Many have programs that assist with various needs. If you are a member of a church, speak to the clergy to see if they can help.

I applied for SSI and ended up having to file all of the appeals. It took 27 months, but they finally approved my case. I came close to losing my house, my car, and pretty much everything I owned. Contact some of the companies that make your medicine. some companies have program where they give medicine to people with low incomes. There is a number you can call to see if you are eligible. I had the number , but I threw it away. Call your public library and see if you can get the number from them.

They based the amount owe using a sliding scale per your income.Its really helpful also, they will provide you will medical assistance as well.

Maybe you should get your priorities straight. It seems to me that you have enough money to spend on a computer and internet acces, yet not enough for medical care. In your case especially, I should exchange one for the other.
