You people are all retarded. Tell the kid what he wants to hear. I would say the Q becuz sidekicks are soo dumb and overrated. I'm assuming you want one or the other for the appeal, the camera, the texting capabilities, and the bad-*** mp3 features, not for business reasons. right? Besides, Verizon is a hell of a lot better than T-Mobile, and finally Verizon has come out with a hot phone. But i've also heard that Treo has smartphones that work really well too. I can't wait until Motorola releases the black Q Ooh and the Dolce & Gabbana RAZR in the US. So hot!

You don't need either. You're not in the work world, are you that important that you have to have email all the time?
Leave the Motorola Q, Palm Treo's, and other Pocket PC's to the big boys. Why waste money on data plans when you don't need the devices. A cell phone should be suffice for you kids. Heck, I don't even want my HTC Wizard Pocket PC. If it weren't for work, I would just carry a cell phone. Instead, I have to carry this thing with me and have to respond to emails even when I'm on vacation.
You're a kid, what ever happened to hanging out after school, shooting hoops, and having fun. Now all you kids do is go home and IM one another. Do you really need IM for that 10 minute bus ride from school to home? Do you really think you'll be missing out on you high school drama? Grow up.

Any Pocket PC "PHONE" (Go with a HP HW6515/HW6915, though sold through Cingular, you can find one on ebay unlocked)...Not SMART PHONE like Motorola Q. There are tons of student software applications you can put on...Play MP3s and Full videos....Along with Internet connectivity...

PS..Don't listen to the old fools who are just jealous that a 16 year old is just as tech savvy and will be far more smarter than them when you reach their age. I wish to GOD I had the tech teenagers had when I was your age. My 5 year old daughter uses my first PPC iPAQ H3500 and loves it...The younger you start, the brighter you future will be.
