Well, let's eliminate every Oceania team right now, especially without Australia in the mix.
Let's eliminate every Asian and CONCACAF nation, seeing how none of them have ever made it to the Championship game.
The Africans teams will not have the advantage that many people would think because the climate and landscape of their powerhouses in Northern and Western Africa is MUCH different than that of South Africa. As far as Bafana Bafana, their national team is the weaker World Cup hosts in the event's history. If the USA couldn't make it past the Round of 16 when they hosted, what makes anyone think South Africa will even get there.
As for the European teams, they have very little success outside of Europe, as another person pointed out. I think Spain or the Netherlands could make strong showings, especially with aging teams in England and Italy, but won't win it.
Your best bet are the two South American powerhouses: Argentina and Brazil. And if I have to pick one, I'll go with Argentina. They had a young team in Germany that took the hosts down to a penalty shootout. Their U-20 team won it all in the Youth Championships in '05. Plus, they may have been the most well-balance squad in the Cup.
So, if I had to put money on a team right now, I would put it on Argentina, without a doubt.

Definitely not an European team, as they cannot win anything outside of Europe.
Therefore, I would say, logically, Brazil or Argentina.
I would love to see an African country winning, though

i would love to see portugal there. i mean they've never won a world cup and i like seeing underdogs win it. either them or spain.
