Have you looked at the national debt clock lately? How about the economy?
Let's see... Coutries run by liberals: Norway, Sweden. Denmark, Germany. I don't see any of those countries starting any wars lately? I don't see huge economic issues in those countries (aside from Germany having issues from absorbing East Germany into their country after the fall of Communism)
What liberally run countries are you talking about? if you are talking about countries with exceedingly conservative and reactionary governments as what you are using for your comaprative base for what is liberal, that would be liberal compared to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Libya?

In the 1920's the country was ruled by conservative business-oriented leaders. This lead to catastrophic collapse in the stock market(and the Depression). In the 30's FDR took over and put the country back together. He pioneered most of the major social programs and it was the only thing that got normal people (meaning not the wealthy) through those times. This was the first major push of liberal values, the first time pro-labor legislation was enacted. This lead to a steady drop in poverty for decades to come. It's hard to say that when liberal values took over in the 30's the country fell apart at that point.

Um, it pretty much look like your country is falling apart (assuming you're from America) right now. Is it ruled by Liberals, no, so the Republicans are wrecking the place, and the Liberals will have to be voted back into power to fix it.

All democracies going back to the Greek cities have always failed. The reason for the failure? As soon as the majority realize they can vote themselves as much of your money as they want to (taxes) They gradually do so and the democracy collapses. The fight then is to keep as much of private production in private hands as possible. A losing battle as there have always been looter liberals with a gun and a tax code to take it from you. Robin Hood story: Robin Hood did not take from the rich and give to the poor. Robin Hood took back the taxes raised by the government and returned the taxes to the people taxed. Liberals cannot even read a story book without spinning it.

What is the dictionary explanation for the word liberal?
I tend to believe that where ever the masses are uninformed,
integrity, morality and virtue are absent no matter what it is, it falls apart.
I do not know why you used the word Liberals instead of stating issues, policies or endeavors that may or may not be sound judgment to state your case, unless you have no case at all and
just wanted to show the world that you really have nothing to say!

Canada only started to fall apart after the conservatives came in. I can't wait for them to be thrown out and the liberals put back in power.

Modern Liberals? or Classic Liberals? For your information, there is not any country on this earth or in history ruled by liberals. So, what are you talking about Mr. conservative?

The problem is that you are overlooking the fact that the United States is falling apart and it is being run by a Conservative.
Your thesis totally falls apart the minute you make a broad sweeping generalization.

oh, well see you must realize that those countries aren't run by real liberals ... the people that run those countries are evil, and liberals aren't evil, they're just "well-intentioned"
it isn't their fault that their good intentions lead to devastating and unintended consequences ...
