I have mine pierced. I am 34. If I had to do it all over again I WOULD NOT DO IT... IT HURT SOOOOOO BAD. I think it was because the girl who did it was nervous. Make sure you have someone that has done several hundred piercings before they pierce yours. It seems as if it took longer than it should have. Mine bled all day, and was sore for about a week.

There is a salt solution you can buy there at the piercing place. The salts that you mix with distilled water is cheaper than the spray. The spray is MUCH easier to apply. WIth the salts and the water you have to soak your nose for 20minutes in a shot sized glass...lol... Its almost impossible, and uncomfortable too. Get the spray. I paid about $10 for the spray, and only $4 for the salts.

My 15 yr old daughter went with me because she was going to get hers done too. She passed out watching me get mine done...lol.. Needless to say she did not get hers done... And she has many piercings including her navel..

I recently had mine done as well and it's normal to get yourself all hyped up and think it's going to hurt a lot. My piercer was very kind and answered all of my questions patiently and made sure I was comfortable with what was going on. She explained everything. I held on to the chair's arms for dear life. She told me to inhale and it was a tiny pinch and my eyes watered and that was it. I think getting my ears pierced was worse! I got all worried for nothing. The worst part for me was when the jewelery went in. It did not hurt, it made me feel like I had to sneeze. Still, it does not hurt. I had a little scab on the inside that fell off quickly. No pain at all. I am very surprised. I clean it twice a day with a gentle anti-bacterial soap and water. Other times, if it feels irritated or anything, I have a sea salt spray that soothes it and feels so nice. Never use Bactine, peroxide, Neosporin, etc as these will irritate the piercing. Don't play with it and don't try to change the jewelery. A small stud is best at first so you can get used to it and your nose can heal up without the jewelery getting all caught on things. And if you have any problems or think something isn't right, go back to where you had it done. They should be able to help you. Good luck.

I got mine pierced last year and it didn't hurt at all. The only thing is you have to keep it clean. They told me to clean it with a soap like Dial (make sure it's not anti bacterial) and rinse it with sea salt twice a day. Also, Vitamin E really helped the healing process.

Everyone I know that has had it done develops this bump under the stud. Mine went away in about 2 weeks. But my cousin didn't clean hers properly and she still has the bump. Almost like cartilage build up so beware of scaring. She's had it since Christmas '05.

I think that it has become so common to have your nose pierced that it's not so much sexy or exotic, but I think it's still cute.

It hurts a lot less then getting your ears peirced. yet becareful, maximum individuals under no circumstances have any problem with their nostril piercing. yet some human beings (like me) unfortunitly are pron to an infection. i have had my nostril pierced for roughly a 365 days now and atleast two times a month a wide bubble of epidermis rises round my stud and the only thanks to eliminate it truly is to weigh down up asperin and make a paste out of it and put in on the piercing over nighttime. or maybe even as the bubble is going down I actual have a pink scar (scar tissue particularly a lot) that remains there continually and doubtless received't bypass away even if I take out the piercing. purely some thing so that you could imagine about before you get it finished. once you've had different peircings and under no circumstances had a difficulty with them then you definately should be fantastic.

I did mine at around 13 with a needle....it hurt but not REALLY bad. It's just it kept making my eye water on that side so it took longer cos I had a hard time seeing myself in the mirror. XD But if you're going to a professional, you should be fine. I had my belly button done professionally and I didn't feel a thing, here I am with my eyes closed waiting and I didn't realize it was done already! :P To take care of it....just be careful not to smack face first into anything for a little while, try not to get it infected by making sure your hands are always clean if you touch it, which you shouldn't for at least a few days. And IMO it's sexy as long as you don't put something humongous in it. Small rings are perfect, or tiny stones, like almost flat ones.
