There are tons of cultural differences between Europe and the US.
Let's start at the bigger issues, and work our way down.
For one, Europeans wonder at American religiosity. While Europe is becoming increasingly more secular, Americans seem to be flocking to religion, and fundamentalist Christianity in particular.
This leads to another oddity: the world's most technologically advanced nation is rejecting tenets of science. The creationist debate, the banning of stem cell research, the Ten Commandments in public places, these make America look goofy.
Politically, they do wonder agape at 43's tenure and his policies, none of which seem to work. They wonder why he's so damned focussed on Iraq, when he could've captured bin Laden. (Note that there is NO dissention on the issue of Afghanistan; damn near the entire world was in agreement that the Taliban had to be dealt with. )
They also wonder why we don't have universal health care, and why we spend more on our military than the next twenty militaries put together.
They find the car culture odd; in Europe, fuel is hellishly expensive, and in almost all cities cars are not required to get around.
They also find America's general wastefulness distasteful.
(Most of these points of view can be ascertained by talking to Canadians as well; Canada is much closer to Europe culturally than the US.)

Turn it around and ask yourself what it is that you find so curious and interesting about Europeans.

How conservative our people are portrayed. A lot of them don't understand that not all of us are right-wing nuts like George W. Bush!
