The right wing conservatives have alot of anger and hate. I am proud to be a liberal minded American. I have taught my children to respect others, not just white, christian, American, heterosexual, English speaking people. Teach children to think for themselves, ask questions and not to be offended by ignorant people behaving badly. Oh, and without liberals there would be no environmental policies, womens or civil rights.

Just a guess, but anything a "neo-con" would say would be wrong to you, right? Why ask a question if you don't want to hear the answer, or if you already know you won't agree with an answer? Thanks for the 2 points.
I am not a "neo-con", but I will answer, even though you ill most likely disagree with me. I don't think America ever stopped being great. If you are referring to the polls taken in other countries, I say f*ck 'em, who cares? This country's ecomony has recovered from the downward slope Clinton handed over to Bush, we are more secure now then we have ever been, and everyone I know is happy. I am taking steps in my own life to provide a better childhood to my children than I had, and that is not hard to do, but I am doing it without help from the government. I will teach my children to rely on their own strengths and their family, and to never ask for a hand out (nothing is free).

see... Pancakes answer demonstrates the problem... and I'm not trying to pick on that person... but I see this a lot and I'm using you as an example...
the question asks about the future, and they said that their children feel safe now... feeling safe now and having a secure future are two different things, but conservatives often seem to be looking at the "now" and very little at the "tomorrow"..
Of course the debt and social security are two big issues in that... and both parties have their faults for those.... also a stable future workforce in the face of sending jobs overseas is an issue that I worry about... and education, which conservatives want to pull money from with school choice, and health care only seems to be only getting worse, as the price of insurance and the number uninsured grow together...
conservatives seem to be worried about the now and let the kids worry about the future... even if that means putting them in a big hole in the future...

Maybe you can ask a specific question. Just a suggestion. Then you would get a reasonable answer.
In general, I'm concerned with my children being forced to support me in my retirement. Doesn't "social security" seem to be socialist?
For the security of future generations, I support the surveillance of international phone records and transfer of money. It makes sense.
Two things the left is right on is the overspending and environmental policy.
Other than that, like I said, be more specific.
God Bless (sorry if I just forced religion on you) had to get that one in.

Rob, is it??? Drop the "neo-con" from the dialog and I'd be happy to answer your question. You begin a question with a slur and expect to lecture us on hate, fear and personal attacks?

The "conservatives" carry forth a plan on an primary foundation; its in simple terms no longer the single you prefer to take heed to. they prefer a society with as little goverment intrusion as a threat so as that anybody has an equivalent excellent to be triumphant and advance. Adversely the democrats plan is tax extra, spend extra on unionized instructors, and create a goverment that seems after them particularly then permitting them to shield themselves. The beliefs about our youthful ones destiny is nicely defined - in case you in simple terms seem at it.

My children feel safe. They're biggest worry is cell phone costs. What's your beef? Besides hating Bush, that is.
