When you're ovulating, the cervical mucus is usually clear, like raw eggwhite. White discharge is more likely to mean that you're not ovulating right now.

You need to learn more about your body... "Goo" is not a very specific term; it covers a lot of area!! If you mean it literally, then, no, it means you are *not* fertile. Sticky cervical fluid is a sign that you are *not* ovulating.

Another important point is that you need to know when you are *approaching* ovulation. Sex after ovulation will not get you pregnant; you need to time it for before. Sperm can live for up to 3-5 days in the female body, but they take several hours to be pulled up to the outer part of the Fallopian tubes (where fertilization takes place). By the time you know you have ovulated, it has probably already *been* several hours. And the egg only lives for 6-12 hours in most cases.

You can check cervical fluid at the vaginal entrance. Wet fluid means you are potentially fertile. Wet, clear, stretchy fluid means you are very fertile. Those are the days to have sex--every day if you know that your husband has a normal or high sperm count, and every other day if he doesn't or you don't know.

it doesn't indicate that you are ovulating
it is just discharge
this is normal
it would only be abnormal if it had a foul odor and if you were itching or burning
you can't see ovulation
But if it is just white "goo" as you call it, yes, this is normal, but might indicate that you are a little dehydrated, if you were well hydrated, it wouldn't be so "goo-ish" and would be more thin because you have more fluid in your body to water your body secretions down.
So don't get scared about infection unless it is accompanied by other manifestations such as those I have already listed (itching, etc.)

Mine is always clear. I would be worried if it was whitish?

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Forget what I said they say otherwise on here.

It could mean a yeast infection if you also itch. I am pretty sure that the discharge with ovulation is clear.
