I had the same problem I went to my doctor they ran blood work and did ultrasound and found that I was not ovulating. They put me on clomid and this month is my second cycle of taking the medication. I will know by the end of the week from blood work if I'm pregnant!

If you are having irregular periods, you need to get on the pill to regulate it and then try again. If that doesn't work then try any drug available to help you get pregnant, ask your gynecologist about that. I have tried both and I didn't have any luck with it cause I have ovarian cysts but you might get lucky. Also make sure to get a scan so you can find out if anything was scarred when you gave birth to your child. When that happens it doesn't always heal properly. Make sure there is no blockage in the tubes. Finally if you are ok but still can't get pregnant, go with IVF. Invitro fertilization could work for you if you don't have problems like ovarian cysts and you can ovulate ok. I hope this helps you. Good luck!

First of all, you don't even know *if* you're having trouble. 2 months is not long enough to even try; it takes women who are very fertile up to 6 months to conceive!!

Second, if you miss whole months with no period, you may not be ovulating. If you aren't, then you aren't fertile. At any rate, you are ovulating irregularly--ovulation *always* causes a period, although you can bleed and *not* be ovulating (technically, this isn't a period).

Considering how irregular you are, you need more information on how your body works if you want the best chance to get pregnant. Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler.

hey!!im goign through the exact same thing!!!i have very irregular periods, and some months i even feel pregnant!i went to the doctor-had my hormones and everything checked-nothing wrong there,my husband has been checked -hes fine too!!!so im still wondering why i cant pregnant!!!

well next month im going to a new ob/gyn ,and i have been told by many people to request,no actually demand an ultrasound to see if there's anything going on they cant find from blood work!

if you go and have all your blood work done and everything is fine then ask for an ultrasound too!!!

good luck!hopefully we will both get pregnant soon!!!!

I was (and am again) in a similar situation. I would suggest you beging charting ( www.fertilityfriend.com is a great place to start ) , read Toni Wexler's book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" (should be required reading for all women of child baring age) and see your doctor.

I had to take a fertility drug (clomid) to have my son and I am about to start taking it again in hopes of having a second child.
