Well, I am an Aaliyah fan! I want to see the (vampire) movie. But, I read some reviews stating that it wasn't good at all. Some people said it was okay - others said it sucked & wasn't good. If you watched it, can you tell me if I should rent it from blockbluster?

If you like her, then remember her as she was. A lot of people said that it was pretty disturbing to see her turn to stone and "die" at the end (the release date was pushed beck in honor of her).

She was an amazing woman, and taken much to soon - I feel she had a lot more to offer this world, but it was just her time.

She palyed the role of Akasha beatifully, I can no longer imagine anyone else playing her and she complimented Stuart Townsend's portrail of Lestat (I feel a much better version of the character than Tom Cruise gave us).

Give the movie a go and come up with your own opinions. I have had some movies suggested to me with rave reviews that I thought were hopeless and vice-versa. It's all about our own feelings and ideas.

honestly, Queen of the Damned was not that bad. I think it was truer to Ann Rice's novels that Interview was. It was a little more free flowing instead of the staunch crap from the first film. More detail on LeStat and definitely painted LeStat a lot better as I thought LeStat should have been made in the first instead of a lace wearin' fruitty affraid of the world around him when it wasn't his turn to shine in the scene.

Aaliyah was decent as the Queen, she had the moves down pat from the get go for that exoticness, it was jsut her script that lacked a little...but then she was suppossed to be the deva, I mean she was the Queen of the Damned! (I stole tititular line!)

It's definitely a movie to rent and if youa re a die hard fan of Lestat to buy the DVD. I personally liked this actor as LeStat...he fit it better. It was the Lestat choice that really bothered everyone not Aaliyah's preformance. I say he did well, and I thought he was hot...my best friend hates him with a passion and even complaines when he breathes. But if you do rent the movie pay attention to the violin scene on the beach. I so ;loved that part! *swoon*

The movie isn't that great at all. It's called Queen of the Damned and you don't see much of that character. This movie is all about the Vampire Lestat. Aaliyah's performance, I'm sorry to say this but, it was poorly done. I didn't enjoy this movie whatsoever.

If your a big fan of the "goth" culture and you enjoy vampires and that sort of thing i say why not go out and buy yourself a copy of this movie.
I did Purchase it and i enjoyed every minute of it.
but i will tell you if you are expecting to see alot of Aaliayah in this movie you will be not too happy since this movie was made the smae yr she passed and therefore she is not in the movie except for a few brief moments

only if you are a fan of Aaliyah,
because the movie are far away from Anne Rice Book,
for the music it would be better to be Marilyn Manson or Trent Reznor.

I loved it. If you didn't read thebook first, it's a good movie. But if u read the book, you'll find yourself correcting things in the movie. Overall I liked it though. Stuart Townsend is amazing in this movie. Much better than Tom Cruise in the same part.

Rent it, I own it and I felt it was very good, rcok n roll sequences are corny, but enjoyed the story and Aaliyah is so beautiful in the film and creepy-very good.

I'd have to say no.

The only thing good about the movie is that Jonathan Davis did alot of the songs in it.
