I'm all for health care, but not at the expense of the taxpayers. There should be incentives for companies that offer health care to their employees, but it is not the government's obligation to provide for it beyond that.

We are not spending a billion dollars a day in Iraq. It is less than $200 million, and is more than worth the cost. I'm sure even Bush would rather spend that money at home, but he was pulled into a war no one wanted. The fact is that we are there now, and we need to finish the job. Even if we were not there, universal health care would be the last thing this country needs. Why not invest in universal education so people can get a job that compensates them for their service, including health care and retirement (social security is out dated). People need to become less dependent on the government for their everyday needs, and instead become self reliant.

The next thing you liberals would want is universal jobs and then free education and then free gas and cars. We live in a capitalistic society. Universal Health Care would drain the economy. Look at countries like Denmark and Sweden. My suggestion to you is; do a little research before you have an opinion. I'm sure you heard from some liberal that Universial healh care was the answer to the countries health system. Nope.

Our esteemed President does not seem real concerned with the people of America, unless it's profitable. Look at the Social Security health plan, people that used to get drugs for free, now can't get them at all. I don't like to think very much about the waste in Washington, because it makes me ill. Should a person get very ill without health insurance they will die....poor working families can get food stamps, but you cannot use medical expenses to qualify.
It's a mess. I don't have a lot of hope for the future, because to want to be a politician in Washington, is to be a crook, decent men and women get run over.

You have no right to free food, why do you think you have a right to free heath care? And isn't FREE heath care what you're really after? No one is stopping you from paying cash, or buying your own health insurance. Oh, you say you can't afford it? So what you really want, is for someone ELSE to pay part of your bill. Right?

Understand this: The Government produces NOTHING! Before it can give something away, it has to steal it first.

Technology- Everything would be better with the advancement of technolgy. Healthcare would be much more affordable and better.
If I have to choose from those two though, I'd say free healthcare for all citizens.

I would even go as far as to say Trillions on Iraq, just as long as my tax dollars went for establishing a free Iraq and not communistic socialist ideas.

A. insurance companies and doctors and the America people would not want a national health plan, doctors will not be happy with limits on what they can earn,

Public would not want limits or controls on malpractice suits.

Public would not want to have to wait weeks or months for varoius medical care.

And of course free enterprise is what makes america strong

well, were kinda forced to spend money on iraq because we did overthrow their previous govt. and universal healthcare is not gonna happen in america because we live in a capitalistic society, not a communism. (which we spent many years fighting against (cold war, korean war, vietnam)).
