I'm 25 and a college student. I recently had a lesbian experience with a girl I met at a pool. We were very intimate and I couldn't believe what I experienced! Help...IM me.

It does not qualify you as lesbian, experimenting or "testing" the waters does not make you gay. It was an experience and write it off as that and if you enjoyed it-open it up as maybe another future possibility, if just a one time thing then fine.

25 is a little old to still be experimenting. Was it your first experience with a girl? Have you primarily dated/been with men up until now? When you say you couldn't believe what you experienced does that mean you liked it..or you couldn't believe you went through with it? Having 1 lesbian experience doesn't make you a lesbian...what's more important is how you felt about it. Do you want it to happen again? Was it a mistake or something you did while drunk? These are all questions to ask yourself. Just be honest with yourself and don't get so hung up on labels if they bother you.

What? You didn't get the lesbian membeship card right away?

The fact that you had a single same-sex experience doesn't "make" you anything, except maybe open minded and adventurous. If this experience opened your eyes, and you are now rejecting relationships with men forever, maybe you are on your way to being lesbian. Or maybe you could turn out bisexual. If you've been a happy heterosexual woman for a while, and had your share of heterosexual intimacy, it may just be that this was an adventure, and nothing more.

But please understand. Being homosexual means that you are attracted to the same sex both in terms of sexual intimacy and in terms of affectional intimacy. Give yourself some time to reflect and see where you go from here.

I think that would classify you as being Bi-curious. Ya know just testing the waters. It's nothing to be scared of becuz most people have tried it whether they admit to it or not and whether they accept it now or not. If you find that being with a woman is what you want then by all means go for it. If your experience wasnt to your liking and you would prefer a man then go for that too. I dont know what you meant by "I couldnt believe what I experienced". Cant tell if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Its all about how YOU feel and only you know how you feel. So go with that and let it take you where you're meant to go.

LOOK, just because you have one experience it does not make you a lesbian. All it means is that you will be haunted by what you did by flashbacks of what happened that night unless you stop thinking about it and ask the Lord to heal your memory.

I had a freaky thing happen to me once in my younger days. I wish it hadn't happened but it did. I forgave myself and asked the Lord to forgive me, and I moved on. I was smoking pot at the time and drinking. I lost control of my senses.

Was alcohol involved that night? Alcohol or drugs cause us to do things we would not normally do. I once peed in someone's bathtub because I was drunk. Does that make me a bathtub peer for all time? No.

Just because you do something one time it does not mean that you have to be labeled by that behavior for all of time! If so, it would apply to every stupid thing you ever did in your life. Now does that make any sense at all? No!

Pretend it was a dream. Go back into your dream and make it have a different ending, one that you feel comfortable with, and then take control of your thoughts and think about good things.

College is an experimental stage in life. If it was just a one time thing then youre not a lesbian. But if you still have the urge and want to do stuff with girls then you are a lesbian or bi.

You don't need to "qualify" for a lesbian "status." Just be yourself. If you find that you want to explore relationships with other women, then that's fine. You might even want to be with other men. It can be very confusing trying to assign a label to your identity. Relax & go with the flow.

To quote Matt and Trey: "There's a time and a place for that. It's called college."

In college, a good number of people experiment and try to figure themselves out.

You should talk to this girl and explain what you feel. If you're really confused, there should be some form of counseling available on campus for you.

You're not a lesbian, you just enjoy pleasure and you are curious and adventurous. Give yourself a break, be careful and have fun.
