Put on your favorite songs on your headphones and try to play along, or get lessons. drums take time to learn and no one is perfect right off.

Don't give up! you'll later regret it. So what if you suck, music is just an expression of yourself. some of the best , or at least most influencal bands , when compared to correct music theory and the way classical musicians are trained, suck! Just find your niche, and stick with it.

I suck at a lot of things but I do them any way because I like it and it's fun. If you suck at it and don't like it... time to move on to something else. You're smart though. Some people never admit they are bad. Pride thing I guess.

Find a good teacher in your area and take some lessons. Practicing on your own helps as well. Keep at it though. You'll get better.

Try the tuba.

It happened to me. My band director asked me to stay after class one day, and he came up and said, "I don't know how to tell you this, Scott, so I'm just going to say it. As a drummer, you suck."

Before I had time to be devastated and angry at him for crushing my childhood dreams, he suggested I try out the "bass horn".

The rest is history.

Look for a band that sucks and then you can all suck together.

Practice and patience! If that don't work, then you can always try another instrument.
