Is anyone going to Heaven???

Seriously who has not sinned over the age of...I don't know....at what age do we start tallying up our sins???

I'm thinking Heaven may be a kids only zone!!! Or do we really only have to ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus to pass through the "Pearly Gates"???

I've got to tell you...I've already seen a few of the circles of Hell and I'd be a fogiving and accepting Mother F@%*er if it meant the difference, whatever my faith may be!!!

Thoughts anyone!!!

Oh and I felt the need to resubmit under a different catagory. The Bible Belters are in a pissy sort of mood this fine evening!!

ya know, baby girl, there are a lot of metaphysical mysteries that we can only try to comprehend, as the origin of the ultimate being is as the question of a lot of hows and why's. there are a lot of missing books of the Bible that the Catholic Church had conveiniently left out that explains a lot more than you can get from organized religion.

To start off with, I am not who you would call a "Bible Belter", but I do know that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and also, He's the only doorway to God....and these are my thoughts, which you have asked anyone to give.

God does judge by the Ten Commandmants ( among other things)- and it's up to Him and Him alone. Everyone sins, its been going on since Eve's dumb butt messed up in The Garden Of Eden; God knew then thay we would forever be cursed and born under the law of sin. So, that's why he sent Jesus: to forgive us our sins. With him, the daily sacrifices were forever gone. He was the final one!(Hebrews 8:10-13, 9: 12)

I know it's a little hard to believe, that even though we've lived a life of sin that just by believing in Jesus and accepting him as our Savior that we're guarenteed a place in God's Heaven, but it's true. But, it's also conditional.

Jesus says to be truly born again is to stop your sinning. Quit it. Do good things in His name and start living a moral life. Seems doggone near impossible in this day and age, huh? Well, you're almost right. There's buttholes out there who really, REALLY make you want to lose any religion you have, no matter how right you try to be. And they hate any thing to do with Jesus. But those of us who belong to Jesus heeds His call. The others...? well, you know.

Just think: Why is it that you think Jesus instructs us to forgive our enemies? or, our neighbors? It's because Jesus forgives us, no matter how many times we sin. But then again, just because we know that we can keep being forgiven the wrong we do, don't mean we should keep doing it ( remember, when you were a kid, how long your mom or dad would put up with your whining until they got tired of it and told you to stop it, then when you still would'nt, they would put a hurting on you?). If you really want the truth, than read The Bible, New King James Version, preferably The Gospel Of John.
Peace.

thankfully - heaven is a free gift - rom 6:23 tells us the wages of sin are death but the gift of God is eternal life! heaven is never earned or deserved. i was raised catholic - and was subjected to all these rules and regulations. i felt hopeless. but the Bible says it is by GRACE that we are saved thru faith - it is a gift of God, NOT OF WORKS, that none may boast. (eph 2:8-9)noone can meet God's standard of perfection. (matt 5:48) consider this - if u only sinner 3x a day, in a year that would be over 1000 sins. if u live to be 100, that is over 100k sins. over 100k violations of God's law. the Bible tells us that God is love, but also that He is just - no just judge would REWARD an offender w/ 100k violations.
so where does that leave us? God solved this problem in the person of Jesus Christ. in john 1:1 we read that in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God and the word became flesh and dwelled among us. the word "word" refers to pre-incarnate Jesus. He was fully God and became flesh to live a perfect life. in the old testement, sacrifices were made for atonement. the sacrifice had to be perfect - w/o defect or blemish. Jesus was that perfect sacrifice. when He died on the cross, He paid the penalty 4 our sins. they were buried in the grave. But He rose again - and is preparing a place in heaven 4 us.
you are right - Jesus told us that "i am the way, the truth, and the life - no one comes to the father except by me." but He is calling us - john 15:16 says that we did not choose him, he chose us. god wants us to be with him in heven. but how do we get there?
acts 16:31 says to believe in the lord Jesus Christ and YOU WILL BE SAVED! you can have all the facts abt God, you can even have prayed for help, but unless you trust in Jesus for your eternal salvation, it is not enough. james 2:19 states - u say there is 1 god? u do well - the demons believ as much, and tremble. knowing abt God isnt enough. get 2 know him.
if this is what u really want, pray right now. the words do not really matter - it is abt the posture of your heart. Pray something like this:
" God thank u for loving me. thank u for sending Jesus to pay the peanlty 4 my sins. i accept Jesus as my lord and Saviour. i repent of the things that i havedone that are wrong. be with me now and always."
then do like u said. learn more abt god from the Bible. start in the gospel of john - it is brief and to the point. then find a good bible teaching church. good luck - and see u in heaven!

Simple answer: no one except Jesus has lived a sin-free life. Therefore, He was the only one who was able to pay the price for the rest of us. The perfect for the imperfect.

Bottom line is, people suck. We ALWAYS screw up somehow. We try to live a life that will make Him proud, but we still screw up. EVERY day. But God doesn't care so much that we screw up, He cares that we get up the next day and try again. For Him. Because we love Him, and want to please him however we can. He doesn't expect perfection, but He does expect an honest effort.

The thing is, nothing imperfect can exist in heaven...and we are imperfect. So that's why Jesus gave up His life for ours, so that we could be made perfect through Him. Jesus isn't some distant odd character from a fairy-tale. He's no stranger. He's closer than your own heart, and He knows you better than you know yourself. The sacrifice He made was like your husband, your wife, your child, your mother, your father...whoever you hold most dear...giving up EVERYTHING so that you could live a better life. This is as real as it gets, people. "He stands at the door and knocks." He's right there, and it's free... Funny... most people love things that are given away for free...

No one is perfect. That's a given. That's why Christ died for our sins. That doesn't mean that if you accept Christ into your heart, you are all of a sudden miraculously saved. What it means, is If you accept Christ as your Savior and redeemer and are reborn of the water and of the spirit, The holy spirit will be with you to guide you. Then if you do all you can to live by the teachings and example of Christ for the rest of your life; When You stand before God to be judged, Christ will stand with you to meet the demands of justice. Or in other words, He will make up the difference between your flawed existence and perfection. Then by Gods Grace, you will be redeemed of your sins and be saved.

i'm agnostic, what can i say? i can't say there is a God or not. but i do believe in ways that there may be and definitely ways that there isn't one. everyone commits sins, no? sex is a sin. we're all sinners. we're born sinners. if not, we're just fledglings waiting for something exciting to occur and then experience. i believe there are ways how God does something with our life. He gives us signals, no? if you do something wrong, who else puts those signals in our path to lead us to our success? i must also say, life pushes us. i believe deep religious beilevers believe in God too much. for instance, this kid does something wrong and makes the wrong decision, he wouuld say, "WHAT DID I DO WRONG TO DESERVE THIS?". now, we should say, you did it yourself, He didn't do it. it was your fault and you know that wsa going to happen if you though about it. God really isn't with you all the time, He has another 30 billion of people to look after.

I don't think you can judge becuase they've broken a few rules. I prefer to look at the commandments more as a guidline. In my opinion, as long as your a good caring person, you will get into heaven.

if you're asking for a religious answer, then the sin and the number of sins does not matter, hitler and a preacher would have the same place in heaven if they both acepted jesus as their savior..

if you're asking for honesty... yes it's all bull... you die and then it's black and you don't have to worry about it because you won't know...

just pray that it's quick and you don't realize it's the end of your life... no pun intended

psst!

there are actually *613* commandments in the old testament!

many contradict each other!

besides - most people couldn't live modern life without breaking one or two of these..

when you become able to control your actions your sins begin to cout up, when yu know the difference between right and wrong. and IF you realize your sins and repent as it says in the bible you shall be saved, and if you accept jesus as your lord and savior, by christian standards
