Based upon various reports from professional lip readers who have studied the tapes of the head butt, it appears he said something about him being a "dirty butt-******* muslim", and various comments about his "mother and sister being a whore". Plus there was a debated comment about him being a "dirty muslim terrorist". The terrorist comment has been supported by a few lip readers but denied by a few others. Additionally, the italian denied the terrorist comment by stating that "he didn't even know what it meant"...
Personally, if he said that crap to me and there were any racist remarks like that, I would have likely hit him too. I'd put up with the "your mama's a whore comment" but the religous comment and the terrorist thing, went too far.
Just a side note though, Zidane's mother had been hospitalized only hours before the game so this likely played a part in his reaction.
Now, I am German so I could care less who won, but there is more to this story than is being told... Zidane's actions were wrong but the italian guy should have kept his mouth shut too. If the muslim comment and/or the terrorist comment are true, then the Itlalian guy deserved exactly what he got. And if it was me, I would have likely kicked him in the nuts afterwards. However if these things weren't actually said, which I doubt, then Zidane is a disgrace.
That being said, there's no room anywhere for racist and ignorant comments like that and if they were made, actions should be taken against the italian player.

Finally, i found an answer , it many not 100 % true but it is from an reliable source.
READ THIS : "A lip-reader told The Sun that Marco Materazzi called Zidane a “son of a terrorist whore” before the French Algerian was sent off in Sunday’s explosive match. "
and click the link http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/1,,2006310771,00.html
and

if i am in Zidane position, i will also do that because at that time Zidane's mother is sick and in hospital. I don't think Zidane will lost his repect of that reaction.I think most of the people will react that way if someone said like that

It was reported that apparently,Materrazi called Zidane"Zizou" Zinedine a terrible terrorist.
According to skysports news,Materrazi denied the accusations claiming that he is ignorant;he doesnt even know the meaning of the word.
But from my point of view,I think that Zidane was insulted and he understood whatever Materrazi was saying because Zidane was once playing in Italy for Juventus(hence, he knows some little Italian).

You never repay evil with evil. Thats Christianity yaal. Jesus suffered on the cross. Was killed and showed forgiveness. Even if Zidane was human, a beautiful religion as Christianity teaches you to act divine As Jesus our God is. Doesnt anyone want to promote the good. Zidane did the wrong thing. He did the bad thing. The right thing was turning your cheek. It was asking for forgiveness. He got his right on earth. But if he would have left it up to God...God would have rewarded him with the world cup. Instead he chose the wordly devil approach. And that was his downfall...his own pride.

Im wondering about the same thing…
Some people say materazzi pinch his nipple and the others say he called zidane a terrorist.
“”Materazzi, meanwhile, was quoted as denying the terrorist comment
"It is absolutely not true, I didn't call him a terrorist, I don't know anything about that," the Italian news agency ANSA quoted Materazzi as saying when he arrived with his team at an Italian military airfield.
"What happened is what all the world saw live on TV," the Italian player said, referring to the head-butting. “”

Nothing has been confirmed, but they are allegedly saying it was a racist comment. Nevertheless, Zidane had to keep his cool no matter whAT, i mean he was the team caption, a role model to the rest...

Definitely he was insulted, however, he shouldn't lose his nerves.
As Terry Henry said" you can pull a man out of a tough neighborhood but you can not pull the tough neighborhood out of a Man's mind"
Too bad, he deserves a better end to his career
