A donation to their favorite charity in their name?

Everyone loves flowers and a thoughtful card.

Something you do for them like writing a poem, a painted picture, a framed photograph?

Just a couple ideas.

if not too expensive, try an experience gift. A trip in a hot air balloon, a golf lesson, or just movie tickets w/ a dinner gift certificate for a night on the town. This way you aren't just giving them more "stuff." good luck.

A thank you card and a gift card to their favorite store or restaurant. Those are always nice gifts.

You could just write a thoughtful thank you note, and possibly include something you have made as the gift.
