The Manchester United youth system a few years back that produced David Beckham, Gary Neville, Phil Neville & Paul Scholes all went on to play for England.
Other players from that era such as John Macken became quite succesful in the minor leagues.

Middlesborough. They fielded a side out with a complete side of under 21, players such as Cattermole, Parnaby, Downing gives a local feel to the team. Man Utd over the years has broughts superstars from their academy such as Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, the Neville Brothers and Nicky Butt. The next superstar from Manchester United will be Giuseppe Rossi.

Its easily aston villa.
Remember when rooney was touted as "rising star" in everton U19?? Well, that year, Villa U19 won the league and the twins Stefan and Luke moore topped the top scorers chart. Rooney wasn't even near. In the past seasons, we see villa plagued with injuries and with it, the smallest squad in the EPL. HOw did they survive the drop? Academy graduates: Cahill, ridgewell, steven davis(who even captained n.ireland and beat england), luke moore( scored both home and away against chelsea). If they r not the best youth academy in the past few yrs, I dunno who is?
