Comments like idiot, rasism.... leave them for your friends..... There is a fact: when on TV they show criminals in many cases it is about black criminals, excuse me about african american criminals... and jails in US are mostly preoccupied by blacks. So the question is why??? It has nothing to do with the comments like :"you are an idiot" ..

Our professor at the college just said" The population of American jails is 80% - black" And the professor is black....

It is my privilege to be able to impart a bit of knowledge and information to you and all those who will read this: You are misinformed. You should not get all your information from what you see on TV. Please examine the facts from the FBI reports:

70% OF CRIME IS COMMITTED BY WHITES while only about 27% is committed by blacks. So, that means that it is usually a white person committing a crime.

You don’t see that on TV, do you? This information is available on the FBI’s website.

If the jails are mostly filled with blacks that must mean that the justice system is racist as it punishes blacks with harsher sentences even though most of the violent crimes are committed by whites.

Now, how about we stop looking at race when discussing crime in America; crime affects all of us and is a problem for us all.

The media is to blame. Just like when a woman commits an uncommon crime - right away the media propaganda tries to say that women commit the same amount of violent crimes as men. False information.
And if it were true - maybe it is because looking forward to working for minimum wage and not being able to support yourself or a family gives people no hope, no options, and no dreams. Then comes the vicious circle and truthfully, if our society would start educating, training, and requiring employers to pay non-slave wages, our crime rate would lessen. And prison is not the answer...it doesn't help society or the person.
People with hope and a real chance at earning a living tend to commit less crime...

You cannot take what you see on television as a depiction of reality. The ten major media conglomerates are owned by ten fat white rich men who don't give a damn about any color besides green. They notice that filling the t.v screen with big, black ,mean men sell so they give the people what they want. For example, during the coverage for katrina whites who had taken food from the local stores we're "finding" food. Blacks who had done the same thing were "looting". Yes the jails are mostly filled with blacks, but you should do your research as to why. Many of the black men in the prison system are there as a result of unfair drug laws, as opposed to violent crimes. Your professor gave you a tidbit of information, probably in the hopes that you would further research yourself, not make an a.s.s. of yourself with generalizations on YA. lol But seriously, if your interested in the whole story, do some research.
