What does being a caddy require?

I'm considering getting a second job for the summer and I was wondering what exactly a caddy does, what kind of hours one would have, what kind of pay one would get, and if one usually gets tips.

A caddy is someone who carries around the golf clubs for a player. They also need to know the rules of golf, and how to play, as a player will ask them which club would be best for ther ball's position, how the greens are playing that day, and even to settle disputes about the rules with other people that they are golfing with.
