It is irrelevent whether you have a laptop or not as to whether you should leave your DSL connected to it all of the time.

Any computer connected to the internet, whether for 5 minutes a day or all day long needs to have some kind of anti-virus software installed. If you don't have a hardware firewall, then you also need to install a software firewall on you PC unless you used the Windows XP SP2 firewall.

As for the PSP, I have no idea why it doesn't connect.

You can leave your DSL modem on all of the time. as for psp.. i'm not sure... how are you connecting it to the internet? Is it going through a portal? or a computer that is connected? Is it on a network or is it just tied into another input of the DSL modem?

1. the dsl being on has nothing to do with your laptop. its can and is always on.

2. your question is horribly vague. if you want someone to help you, take your thumb out of your a-s-s and type something more elaborate.
