My dad was in the Marines, & he was home on leave, he went to a dance with a friend, met my mom, they were married a year later, and have been together every since.. 45 years!

back in the day when people treated people with respect, my parents met each other in a bar, and he bought her a drink. They talked a little. My dad asked her to marry him 3 months later, been together for 29 years now!! awwww

My parents were old childhood sweethearts ... they dated in through high school and then split up when my Mom went away to college. They started dating after when she was teaching school and got married ... they have been married for 57 years now. Who would have thought!!

in the navy, they got set up on a blind date & 5 weeks later got married. They are still together 38 years later!
