The answer is what are YOU going to do.

I would cut up on the MF. I had to do that a couple of times and mind you, I am in my work uniform doing my job. So the question is not always what the person that just got the indecent proposal is doing. They are just ignorant and use to dealing with whores, so they feel that all women, regardless of their social status, will go for the okee-doke. But not this one, I'm a lady and you WILL treat me with the respect I deserve.

I'd likely laugh. I'd be inclined to look at the person and tell them that on the off chance I'd have ever been interested in them, that their coarse and rude proposition convinced me that they were not worth my time or trouble.

Back in the 70's it was not uncommon at one point, for men to approach women in bars and ask if they wanted to ........pick the rudest, most explicit term you can think of. Their theory being it was possible someone would say "yes", and save them the effort of actually getting to know you.

My stock answer was "Yes"...and when their little eyes lit up, I'd finish with..."Why..do you know someone?" When they thought to say "ahh me"...I'm make a seriously disappointed face, and say "Oh..no thank you." My theory being, anyone who behaved like that deserved to be horribly shot down.

Walk away and ignore the person.

If a person is crude enough to make such a statement or request they will not accept a rejection or a statement to the effect that they are rude. They simply refuse to believe it.

Rude and disgusting people often times have a "willing" audience.

Turn it off, don't read it, leave the room.

Thank them for being a simply mahvelous person while they pick up the bar bill as you walk out the door.

i would politely decline the proposal and if i feel that the person is quite receptive, i may even try to educate him and make him understand the consequences of such proposal. if not, just ignore and forget and if possible, forgive.

Tell them to ask my husband for permission. He is a bald, 6'7" 300 pound biker. And corporate exec. Can't see the tats in his business suit.

Simply not take the bait. I'd blow it off. I can't see any reason dignify such a comment with a response.
