Sorry, I didn't see the show but I know about the book by that name. It was discredited when they author dared critics to come up with similar results by using an ordinary book like Moby Dick. So some enterprised skeptics took him up on his challenge and were able to duplicate his results.

The Bible is a wonderful book and you can learn many things from it by digging deep into the passages. But God gave it to us so that we could learn from it, not so that we could try to "decode" it. If you want to spend some time learning to decipher true Bible codes then read the book of Revelation and look for the explanations of difficult passages in other parts of the Bible.

Here's one example.

Revelation 12:1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman having been clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

Some people mistake this "woman" for the church but it's really a reference to the twelve Jewish tribes.

Genesis 37:9 Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, "Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me." 10 But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, "What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?"
