Try the Pig Placement Network for adoptable pigs: http://www.pigplacementnetwork.com/

Or the North American Potbellied Pig Association for reputable breeders around the continent: http://www.petpigs.com/

You realize that pigs aren't an animal you really "play" in the yard with like a dog, right? Pigs aren't an exotic pet version of a dog or cat. They're small *pigs* (small meaning that adults weigh in around 100-150 pounds on average). They'd much rather eat, sleep, eat, roll in the mud, eat, root up your lawn, eat.... Play? Not so much.

You'll also be spending a good deal of time working on discipline. Pigs are herd animals and need to be very firmly reminded, consistently and constantly, that they are not the boss. It's very easy to let a pig get away with bad behavior and allow them to become aggressive and manipulative. Suddenly your 100+ pound pig who bites, growls, and rips up the house isn't so cute and playful anymore.

Please do the research and know exactly what you will be getting yourself into before you buy a pig. They live a long time- it's akin to caring for a 2 year old toddler for the next 15-20 years of your life. They're wonderful pets *for people who are fully committed and able to handle them.* They make awful pets for people who aren't ready for this responsibility and can't appreciate the specific needs that their pet pig has.
