I'm not familiar with osi, but i know omega one is really good food. gold fish food is better for them than tropical although they will eat the tropical. gold fish food has more vegetable matter in it and is made for their digestive tracks. you can also give them romain lettuce, or orange slices for treats, but if you use oranges don't leave them in the tank more than 10 min or it will drop your pH. the important thing when feeding gold fish is you want the food to sink. gold fish are bottom feeders but they're not the most inelegant of fish so they don't realize it. if they eat at the top they swallow air and they cant get rid of it like other fish can so they end up swimming upside down for the rest of their lives. its not real common, but common enough that you should try to prevent it. in order to make the flakes sink simply either put the food under water when you feed the fish, or mix it with water in a small cup and pour it in. only feed them a SMALL amount once or twice a day. they don't know they're not hungry.

OSI is a good product but why pay that amount of money when goldfish food in department stores are just as good. I just feed mine what I feed all the fish----check out the ingredients on the different company's fish food and then check the price lol

I like omega one foods, as well as new life spectrum. Also, if you are serious www.goldfishconnections.com , has great foods, including pro gold. Variety is best, and apart from a mix of these foods, and plenty of veggie flakes, and algae or spirulina, live or frozen foods are great once or twice a week. Also, try out a fast every week. Dont feed for one day. Also, feed vegetables. Peas are great boiled
Finally, for fancy goldfish, it is best to soak foods for a few minutes, to make sure the fish do not tank in air

Any tropical fish flake food will work. Goldfish aren't picky about what they eat. The best brand of food would be Hikari. I know they have specialty food for koi and fancy goldfish. They are pellets and are suitable for your goldfish.

Just put a pinch of the flakes in cause if put too much the fish will blow up. Go to your local pet store and ask one of the employees. A good brand I use for my fish is TetraFin fish flakes.

I prefer hikari pellets for my big goldies, and any tropical flakes for my babies. Goldfish will eat anything. Try feeding them some boiled eggwhite sometime. :)
