Why do extraterresterials used only flying saucers?

For all those UFO buffs. Those who don't believe, please keep your peace.

Have you ever noticed most if not all of the news reports on UFOs involved only flying saucers? This is contrary to what is in the movies these days, which dwells on stories of intergalactic spacecrafts, space cuisers or spacewar birds, etc.

The logic is that if there are a number of extra terrestrial civilisations out there, then there should be different types of spacecrafts, just like what is propogated in the movies. Yet, it seems we see only flying saucers.......

Do you believe there is something special about flying saucers? Why is it most extra terrestrials used flying saucers and not other types of spacecrafts?

it was the only technology avaliable in the 50's ,when they were invented. ") hehe couldnt help myself. seriously, maybe it has something to do with some geometrical property of the methods they use to travel. everything spins into a circle tornados hurricanes galaxies etc.maybe some property of space requires that the matter to be moved by that method fit precisly into some resultant field?

for those of you who DO question UFO's exsistance here is a neat little nugget of trivia:

no sufficiently advanced societies are provable to have lived on the earth before us. one of the best pieces of evidence being that there is no trash. to have a technologicaly advanced society at least parallel to our own would require a close fraction of the earth current population since you only get so many sufficiently intelligent offspring,as well as the contributing factors that would "waste" a number of those,like born in wrong place ,sickness ....you get the idea. so if that large of a population would have been around there cigarette butts would be somewhere :) but there not. which brings me finally to my point.

the egyptions were not likely to have been able to position and construct the Great Pyramid. The important technical facts about it require knowledge unobtainable by such a non-tech savy gruop. a few important ones are:

"Aligned True North: "

The Great Pyramid is the most accurately aligned structure in existence and faces true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error. The position of the North Pole moves over time and the pyramid was probably exactly aligned at one time.

Center of Land Mass:

The Great Pyramid is located at the center of the land mass of the earth. The east/west parallel that crosses the most land and the north/south meridian that crosses the most land intersect in two places on the earth, one in the ocean and the other at the Great Pyramid.

Radius of the Earth:

The curvature designed into the faces of the pyramid exactly matches the radius of the earth.

First you have to assume there are extra-terrestrials.
This is an open question.

As for why they are flying saucers? Not sure...but its almost certain they exist, even if they were created by the military. I know ordinary people who have witnessed them.

It is also highly likely gravity can be countered, and that we are living in a multi-dimensional universe >4. Possibly this is already known in certain secretive scientific groups.

Its possible a saucer contains some kind of plasma levitation.

These are speculations, but there are actual levitation devices that anyone can build that are electromagnetic in nature. See the links below.

I personally wish to have more time to do some experiments with plasma. I suspect there are all sorts of bizzarre effects that can be produced.

If humans were to build the perfect vehicle for all sorts of travel it would a flying saucer as they can take off vertically like a helicopter leaving no need for a runway allowing it to land and take of on a platform its size. Its shaped so Air passes around it allowing more acceleration and high speeds in gravity, water and space. Nanotechnology and better engines would be placed right around the very bottom allowing ultra fast speeds in space when crossing galaxies to reach far away places.

I think that the best fuel would be a kind of nuclear fission powered engine that can use years and years of fuel to reach places.

So I assume that these beings could be more intelligent and have gone through a similar development to use starting with basic travel to the most advanced.

Other life forms may still be developing this kind of craft to take them through universes trying to find life like we hope to do.

And why did you humans label them such a lame name? Saucers!
Why not flying frisbees, or flying discs, or flying wheels or something? but Saucers!? It sounds so femmie.

We aliens actualy call them Garbleshnik. Its a razor sharp disc used in one of our sports where the object of the game is to decapitate all of the opposing team. This would not be a game we would recomend you earthlings try until you have mastered the art of succesful re-capitation.

But anyway you get the concept. The name of our vehicle is a very manly name. You give your own primitive vehicles names like Ram, Cougar, mustang.....but then you give our cool vehicles a name like SAUCER! What's with that?

I think the lens shaped 'saucer' is supposed to have the best aerodynamics when making sharp course changes, in any direction.... not that I believe any of that stuff. I guess it is supposed to be a 'compromise' shape, for entering atmosphere, as well as flying in deep space.

Of course, you could always choose to believe that the 'saucers' are only scout craft, and that their much bigger mothership is hiding just behind the Moon, waiting for the invasion command to be given....

first, shape has nothing to do with how they fly. in space aerodynamics is not an issue as their is no atmosphere to cause drag.

second, UFOs have been reported as sauver shape, disc shape. cigars, balls of light and triangular (or at least thats how theyve appeared to our strictyl three dimensional senses).

third, UFOs are designed by non-humans, and therefore we cannot begin to approximate their design using our thought processes, as by their very definition, they are alien. what we see as a typical space going vessel (ranging from Battlestar Galactica, to the Millenium falcon or even Red Dwarf) probably looks ridiculous to an alien.

and finally, the movies not reflecting reality? who would have thought that would ever happen?

Because maybe the first space movies had cheap effects, and gluing two plates together was a hell of a lot cheaper than constructing an original, scaled model with life-like features.
