My favorite road trip game is the license plate game. You take the letters on the license plate in order, ex. PRD 756. You have to make a words or hopefully a sentence. PRD= Pretty Raunchy Dude. It's quite addicting and time will fly by very quickly! Have fun!

Play a game with someone else in the car - Like I spy with my little eye, or callout names of states you see from license plates. Also use this as a chance to learn how to read a road map, if you already don't. Or, find a book or a small game to play. Or sleep is good - sleep is like a time machine. You sleep when you start, and when you wake up, you're there!

Watch the road!
Oh y ou're the passenger? I love books on tape while I drive, or a good puzzle book. Have you tried that new puzzle Sudoku? Great fun and easy to learn.
My daugher and I played several games. Our favorite was the alphabet game. You can get one letter per sign, and each can use the same sign so long as you're not using the same letter.
You call out 'A in Alburquerque' as the sign is visible. First one to Z wins. (PS: Don't let your daughter sit in the back seat with a pair of binoculars....you'll lose every time.)

Play car bingo....
just make a list of things you normally see out on the open road:
open field
18 wheeler truck (more difficult if you name an actual company like walmart or something)
license plate ending in E
red jeep
anything basically that you can see driving.. but be creative. make the list long and first person to get them all wins!

make a cd of all your favorite songs! If u can't, find some of your fav cds. Bring travel games. A good one-person game is Rush Hour.
Make stops at gas stations into games. Make a treasure hunt for certain candy bars and little nick-nacks. U can only get one thing at each gas station!!! HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

That's not long at all... just listen to music, play cards (if no one will play cards with you then play solitare), read a book, look at the car licences and try to find every state plate, count cars, daydream, write a story, play a gameboy, talk, sleep, eat, etc.
