1.) When I was 15, started smoking a pipe
2.) Dad smokes a pipe, and I had access to pipes and pipe tobacco.
3.) Smoke a pipe and aromatic pipe tobacco.
4.) Nope, not addicted. Only smoke 1 to 2 bowls a week.
5.) To a extent, smoking should be banned from most work places. Not baned from bars and smoking establishments. Some bans ban smoking in tobacco shops (real stupid if you ask me)

I started smoking in high school when I was about 16 years old. Everyone else was doing it. We thought it made us look older and sophisticated. Before long, I was addicted, both physically and psychologically. I quit during 2 pregnancies, but started again. I smoked for over 30 years. Before I quit, I was smoking 2 to 3 packs a day. My husband and I quit together. We used patches to help. (The patches only help take the edge off.) We decided to quit after learning we already had spots on our lungs, and we both had a chronic cough. We also had visited the M.D. Anderson Cancer hospital in Houston. We saw cancer patients pushing their IV's outside to the parking garage to have a cigarette. We thought that was extremely sad. (But, if you are already dying of cancer, why give up smoking.) Quitting smoking was the most difficult thing we have ever done, but it was well worth it. Our lungs are clear, and the cough is gone. Smoking does not make you seem sophisticated to anyone. It makes you stink, your clothes stink, your car stink.....everything in your house will stink. When you wash your windows, brown junk will run down...the same stuff that is in your lungs when you smoke. I now agree with the laws against smoking in most public places like restaurants, shopping malls, etc. Where smoking is permitted, there should be designated smoking areas where non-smokers will not be subjected to the smell or the second-hand smoke.

At 16 (26 now)
A friend smoked, I tried it and actually enjoyed the taste for some weird reason.
Camel Lights
Yes, I quit about a year ago.
Yes, i agree with the wave to go with non smoking restaurants. It is quite annoying to eat and smell smoke, yet I believe bars and clubs should remain smoking or nonsmoking by the establishments choice, not by law.
