Have you ever had a problem with your cell phone not ringing.?

Question

Yeah, Yeah I know.people have to call for it ring but that is not the problem. I have had it for 4 days and it doesn't ring. The number has been ported from another phone. The volume is up as loud as it goes and I can preview ringtones and hear them fine. When my number is dialed, there is no ringing on my phone. There are two phones I am referring to, Mine and my hubby's.

I work tech support for Sprint. Most commonly all that needs to be done on a phone when it wont ring for an incoming call is to remove the battery for at least 30 seconds, turn it back on, make an outbound call and then have someone try to call you again.

If you ported the number from one carrier to another a lot of time there are problems as far as that is concerned and if that is the case you will have to contact your service provider.

WELL I have had that problem in the past, i just took the battery out and put it back in, that seems to work for most problems with cell phones, though now that i just got another one after not having one for about 6 months, it messes me up when i hear More than a feeling...which is my new ringtone...still not used to being back in the real world with a phone...lol

Yes this has happen to me before. I check to see if all the setting were correct and everything was set for it to ring. What I did was turn it off and then back on it worked after that . If it doesn't ring after trying thiss go by one of the stores that carry your phone and they can fix the problem. You could have a bad battery.

First off i would like to point out that anyone that claims to be a tech support for sprint or verizon...YOU have no clue what you are talking about. I used to work for a service provider... but i'm not gonna brag and use that as an excuse! Besides if you really worked for sprint you would know what to do to fix the phone!

You've checked the settings on your phone to make sure its not on silent? I would contact your cell phone provider and ask them. Or if they have a store by you, go into the store with the phones.

you probably have it set to go automatically to your message withour ringing. I did that before and my husband finally found out that that was the problem. Use you book to figure out if that is it.

ya ive had that problem once, i was talking to my friend on AIM and she said she was calling me but my phone wasnt doing anything and she was like im so calling you and i was like no your not! and we got into a fight and finally i called her. lol. well anyways i have had that problem before but it just went away by itself. try shutting off your phone for a while and restart it.
