If it doesn't cost a whole lot, I'd have it professionaly done. That way, if there are mistakes, you can take it back and have them do it until they get it right or find onother well respected company to do it. I'd do my homework first to see who is the best!

Years back guys would stripe tires with a 'striping wheel'. It was a little bottle with a wheel about the size of a Zippo flint striker that applied the paint.. You might check a place that sells auto paint and see if they are still available.

Paint is easier than tape. spinning the wheel you can get a good line, you cant spin it until after the tape is on to check its straight

put the bike on the center stand, hold the brush real still and give the wheel a good spin.

The easiest way to do it is to go to www.tapeworks.com and they have a bunch of different colored rimstripes and they are reflective to boot!!!
