I personally believe his sending off should not be the blame of why france lost the world cup cause you got to know that he could only take one of the penalty kick and so what if he did not get send off. Cause the fact is that if someone misses the penalty den italy score all, they still lose. The french press is just taking someone to take e blame. You got to admit that zizou contribution was just too great in tat tournament so give him comfort not blames.

There is no question that Italy mastered the penalty kicks but there is no way of knowing what, if any, psychological effect Zidane would have had going into the penalty kicks as well. Its just not good to be going into that situation feeling dejected because your team captain is not with you - especially over such a horrible incident. I know that he felt his actions were justified and I have no problem forgiving and forgetting but I don't think suspecting that he too is possibly having the same misgivings about not having been there till the end is unwarranted.

it is a bad image off how he left the world cup and ended his career.but that 1 bad moment wont ruin in what he has done through his whole career.and i think that he will get a last game as a goodbye game like maradona had in 2001.its not hes fault the french lost it was that they did not take advantage when the game was going on they're way.

hell ye. people always look for some1 to blame.. although i can argue that him being there would've raised their spirits, and maybe change the shout-out... but hell, he shouldn't be blamed for that sh*t. he did what he had to do.. he got dissrespected by that italian f*cker. thats what u get when u mess with the best. zizou has notthin to be blamed for. he achieved same level as the great ones, like Pele, Yashin...

yeah, but...still, i think that just made the team lose its drive to score before penalty kicks. they just wanted to get the time over with because they were a man down, they werent focused on winning anymore after that.
