I use to sell on ebay but it has been several years now. I only had a few problems mostly with ppl that wanted to write checks. State in your description that you do not take checks only paypal (preferred) or money orders. Also do not send anyone their stuff until you have gotten their payment.
I also am not very good with computers and had to figure out how to connect the camera to the computer, but ebay makes it all pretty easy. Believe me if I can do it anyone can!
Also when you write your decsription of your article for sale at the end write something like shipping will be $3.00 standard mail or $4.50 priority. No refunds, I am not responsible for lost or damaged items. Insurance optional for $1.00. Email with any questions or for more pictures....Something like that, what I did was look at other articles similiar to what I was selling to see what they had written. My point though was copy this so you can just paste it at the end of each description and don't have to keep writing it over and over...lol when I finally figured this out it saved me loads of time. Good luck with your selling!!
Oh yeah I forgot to tell you if you are selling a name brand item be sure to put the name in the title. Lots of ppl look for only name brands and will even to a search on them. For instance if you are selling a GAP shirt write "Boys size 6 GAP shirt - like new! LOOK!" If they type in size 6 or Gap your item will show up.

Buyers are usually not a problem. The ratings and feedback are accurate for the most part. Everyone likes to keep a good rating on ebay so they are prompt as possible.
Digital camera isn't nessisary. You can sell items without having pictures of the item. Many people do including myself sometimes.
Paypal is a very professional service. They have a very good record of keeping things going correctly. You won't have any problems from there.

No reason to be scared. If you can transfer a pic from your camera to your computer, the hard part for someone new is over. Just take your time, read item descriptions from other users selling something similar, and it will give you ideas about what information buyers need to know about your item. Give a good accurate description, and be fair in the shipping costs and you'll go far and have a great time.

Ebaying is easy; just make sure to pay attention to the feedback ratings of the people that you buy from. Ask for a cashiers check or money order for items you are selling. That way, you can avoid any PayPal problems and you have your money before you send your item.

PayPal links right to your bank account. As soon as I receive the email the money is in my account. No prob.
eBay walks you right through the process. Once you take the picture and get the file on you PC go for it.
But, first, look at other ads for what you are trying to sell and look at how they are organizing their ads to help sell the item. For instance, you want to put words in the title of the ad that people looking for that item would search for. Good luck.

i imagine this is extra constructive for it to be auction. that way human beings can locate it even as reckoning on the problem. you ought to also prefer to promote even as there is 10 cents itemizing or 20 cents fastened fee. they have them once in a lengthy time period and it may keep away from a range of of $$$. taking off a keep is a foul theory. i in a large number of situations ought to placed it in auction after a month of promoting it in my keep. yet in case you recognize the item will actually promote open a keep. do 1/2 auction and function keep inventory. desire this enables. .

i sold my italian book, after taking a class a couple of semesters ago. i paid for it like $90, a used book and i sold it for $85 (more or less) so i received something like $79-76
i could have the money after 14 days ( time limit to transfer the money to my bank account)
after the item is sold i had 2 days to mail it.
-------
amazon works well for me, even they charge a fee for selling the item online (10% of the total price) blahh blah blah...
so i will post more items for sure.
