I done that on ortho tri cyclen. They had to put me on a lower dose of estrogen. I was causing my cycles to be irregular and when it was time for my period it was cause massive bleeding, I thought I was hemorging. Talk to your health care provider and see if they may change it. They put me on a pill called Desogen or Apri and it really worked. Well for 6 years I am preggers now. But they never had to change my dosage or anything and I was on it for 6 straight years. It also makes your periods go from like 5-6 days heavy to 2-3 days light.

It could be just your body getting used to the pill.
However, you may want to pay close attention to your body....bleeding between periods can be a sign of STDs. (not to be too alarmed, but something to bear in mind, esp. if you no longer use condoms) Anyway, my advice is to be vigilant about your body and contact an ob-gyn with questions about what to expect with a new BC and get medical opinion about your condition.

it really depends on what kid of birth control you are on I know that IUDs will make you bleed a little after sex however I would contact your doctor just to make sure sometimes bleeding after sex could mean other kids of problems like Urinary tract or maybe even cancer better to be safe.

Your body is getting used to the pill

its normal. i don't mean your pregnant. this happens most of the time when you get on BC or when you get off. so don't worry.
but it will never hurt to still take a pregnancy test.
