is there a double standard between democrats in office, and republicans?

Pres Clinton, cheated on his wife, and then lied under oath, committing perjury - and in turn becomes the 2nd pres in history to be impeached, a perminant black mark on history

Yet Presiden Bush, has lied numerous times - publically, and we all say 'Ehh"

He made up an accroynm for things that didn't even exsist, WMDs

Is there a double standard here?
Why don't we care as a society - he's committed crimes against humanity and we chalk it up to..yea, but he's not very smart - so..."

My politcal bias maybe showing - but why do we allow our president to just blatently lie to us week after week - and then center his attention on meaningless issues like imigration and gay marriage?

so far, I got a guy saying I don't have my facts straight but offer no corrections, a guy that thinks grenades should be considered "massivly destructive" even though they have a range of 15 yards, another that gives me the same old "run for office" fallicy, and one girl that saw it for what it was
so 3/4 fools, so far - now I'm begginning to understand

if you disagree, tell me why

~I agree! no one was hurt with Clintons lies except the emotions of his friends and family. With Bush's lies however thousands of young boys and fathers have been killed, families ripped apart and innocent communities destroyed. I see a problem.

First of all you are correct when you pointed out that Clinton Lied under oath. That is what's known as a "process crime." It's what Martha Stuart went to jail for, and it is what Scooter Libby has been indited for.

Bush has never lied under oath. In fact, so far as I know, it has never been documented that he has lied about anything. He has been ACCUSED of lying, and people like you choose to believe those accusations.

I don't believe that President Bush coined the acronym WMD. That was probably an invention of the Press, and I see no harm in it in any event.

Crimes against humanity? Give me a freaking break! Iraq failed to meet it's obligations under the 1991 cease fire, the US and UN gave him 12 YEARS to comply. There is a UN Security Council resolution Authorizing us to take action in Iraq, and finally Bush sought AND RECEIVED specific authorization from congress to take action against Iraq. If that's not a legal basis for military action, then nothing is.

"If you don't believe Saddam is a threat with nuclear weapons or WMDs, you shouldn't vote for me." - John Kerry

A lie is a lie whether it's spoken under oath or not. The rationalization that if it's not spoken under oath then it's not a lie is laughable. Clinton lied about his affairs but it really was nobody's business but Hillary's. Personally I didn't care if he was hitting every woman in Washington and Arkansas. But the right wingers scream and shout and try to impeach him because they were in control. However Bush lies. I am amazed that anyone thinks he's not lied. Good grief the lies he's told and gets literally tens of thousands of people killed at the cost of billions of taxpayer's dollars and the right wing sit's silent and does nothing. A double standard? You betcha!

Well WMD'S have been around for sometime but this would include a hand grenades, so they where really there. I would rather blame the system and some person who run a the screwed up thing. Research the Shay's Rebellion and wounder way the Constitution was written a year later in secret.

This would be a good question if you got more of the facts right. Since you haven't, it's a poor question based on false premises.

I care greatly about crimes against humanity. That's why I'm a supporter of the War on Terrorism (which some folks call "The War in Iraq.)

(Isn't that a little like calling World War Two "The War to Liberate Guam?")

Who said the WMD never existed? Israel states that they were moved into Syria. That is where they still are. Syria needs taking out and then you will find the WMD.
Just because they haven't come to light yet, doesent mean they don't exist.
People teach the THEORY of evolution as a fact, yet they have no proof at all that man evolved from apes, NOT ONE PIECE OF PROOF. Yet people believe this to be fact!
Oh yes, the WMD exist, just ask Syria where they are.

Gay marriage would be another topic. Did you vote? If you did, you can complain you earned the right. Run for an office and go for the job maybe you can do it better and all will be well.
Remember to vote and educate yourself so you can make a difference. Take care ~A~

You're right, but most people in the U.S. are more worried about who's going to win American Idol or what does Brad and Angelina's baby look like or who'e Paris Hilton dating this week. Politics? That's so booooorrrring!
