With my first baby, I had a rickety wooden, uncomfortable rocking chair. I had no idea when I bought it....how much time I would be spending in it, up with the baby, night after night, nursing, for so many months. My butt was numb, my back ached, and it was miserable.
When I got preg with my second child, I told my Husband that we ARE going to buy me a nice, cushy, microfiber armchair that rocks and reclines.
We spent $300, and it is THE BEST $$ I spent on this baby. The most comfortable seat in the house, is in the nursery!

My "escape pod" by Fleurville and my "hooter hider" by Baby au' lait. The escape pod is an awesome mini diaper bag that is great for on the go. It looks like a cute little purse and it can hold all the essentials you need for quick trips. I love the hooter hider for breastfeeding! It's a great cover up since the baby can't pull it off and leave you totally exposed. It's also nice to use when you're trying to put them to sleep when they're older and and they're distracted by lights and noise. Check them out!

Without a doubt.... a BOPPY!! It's a "C" shaped pillow.... you use it to hold the baby on your lap, it is great for people who are nursing, and when the baby is on the floor you can cradle the baby in it on the baby's back, or prop the baby on it's belly looking over the top of it at a toy.... oh, how I wish someone had invented this many years ago, it would have made my life much easier with my older kids.....

A separate stroller so that you could use only contained in the living house. large thanks to lull a toddler who purely does no longer bypass down for naps on his personal, or on your palms. in case you will get one which doubles as a bassinet, awesome, yet they're so extreme priced. exceptionally in case you pick 3! Do they make triplet strollers? Boppy pillow Swing instead of a co-sleeper or %. n play, I used a transportable crib. it is better mushy of a mattress, and it has wheels so that you'll roll it round, out of your room to their personal room or into the front room for naps, and it is going to healthful them till 50 pounds because the bassinets are purely to twenty or so. So it quite works as a significant crib for the first 365 days to 2 years. My toddlers fashionable ingredient to doze off to? The fisher value rainforest soother that hangs on the aspect of the crib! ideal diaper: Pampers swaddlers, they start up at length premie to newborn and bypass all a thanks to length 2-3 or 24 pounds in case your keep includes that length 2-3. those are so comfortable and comfortable and stretchy and so distinct feeling from the different diaper. they don't leak both.

When my son was a baby, I had an oversized fanny pack that had a hard plastic liner. You strapped the pack around your waist with the pack part on the side. The child (one too big for a Snugli but too small to walk) sits on the fanny pack and straddles your side while you put your arm around his back. It's just like holding a child on your hip but the pack carries all the weight. I LOVED it - he wanted to be carried all the time but was too heavy. This was quicker and easier than a backpack or stroller. I couldn't find it when my last child was born. I don't know if they still make them.

the sleep sheep from cloud 9. my second son wouldn't go to bed unless there was sutle noise. so this was great, it plays for 20 minutes then shuts off. it has whale sounds, falling rain, ocean surf, and mothers heartbeat. also, the orthodontic nipples by playtex, the only bottle nipples both of my boys would use. i liked them also because as my second son got to be about 9 months old and holding the bottle i got the gerber bottles that have the handles on them and the playtex orthodontic nipples fit. the gerber bottles are great and i wish they had been available when i had my first son.

I think the bath tub ring is awesome. I also like the little things you can put in the grocery cart so your baby can't suck on the cart. I can't remember what its called, been a while since I had babies.

The baby sling. I never had one with my oldest 2, I didn't even know they existed! But they are the greatest things ever. I always give one to everyone at their baby shower.
Video monitor runs a close second though!

My son is 5 months old and I would have to say that to this day my favorite thing would be his Papasan Cradle Swing. It swings front to back and side to side. We are on vacation for a month and that is the one thing we are finding that we miss the most.

For sure his Ocean Wonder Aquarium Cradle Swing! He LOVES the fishies & it will keep him entertained as long as I need it too. He will also fall asleep in it for daddy if he can't get him in bed & mommy isn't home to do so. He can't yet sit unassissted in a high chair so I hook him in there & feed him in it too.
