Bedtime, Oh how I wish that I had a bedtime. When you are older you will still not be able to choose when you sleep, you will be too busy trying to make enough money to survive. I long for a bedtime, I sleep for 3 hours a night, what I would give to have someone tell me to go to bed. Enjoy it while you can, sleep will make you strong, physicaly and mentaly. o to school and then university, think abour training in a proffesion that allows you to sleep when you want to. If you demand to stay up like I did when I was your age, maybe you will never develope into an intelligent adult, one who has a good job and can choose his own bedtime. good luck, study hard, live long and prosper.

To a certain degree yes. I think Friday and Saturday you should be allowed to stay up as late as you want being that you can get up and function by 9 am on Saturday and Sunday morning.
Schooldays I'd say no later than 11pm - Summertime with my kids I'd be more relaxed about it, but 11 is still good since you have all day to goof around. The reality is you should go to bed when you start to feel tired. Unless you're amped on sugar or drugs you should feel tired after being awake for 12-14 hours.

Yes. My 14 year old twin boys bedtime is 10:30 on a school night. During the school year but on Friday or Saturday nights and during the summer they are allowed to stay up until Midnight or sometimes I let them stay up later..

I'm 42 and I have a bedtime. I always try to go to bed 7 or 8 hours before I need to get up the next day. I prefer 8 hours. Losing a little bit of your evening is better than having a bad day all day the next day from being tired. BTW Elizabeth doesn't know what she's talking about. Listen to someone who has experience. Your parents might need for you to go to bed so they can get up tomorrow. It's not all about you. Show that you can be responsible and go to bed.

Are you ever late in the morning? If not, then no, you do not. If you can handle the responsibility of choosing to go to bed at a time good enough to get a full night's sleep, then you do not need a bedtime.

Bedtime is decided not by a group of uninformed people in a forum, but by your parents. Until you are 18, they are responsible for your upbringing and this includes your habits.
Sleep is a habit one must get into in order to be a good person during the time they are awake. Everything from how you act to how well you think is geared to your sleep habits. How you do in the future is also geared to this habit.
Let your parents dictate the sleep time and go with it, allowing yourself to sleep. Later, when you're older you can set the time for yourself. For now, let the adults in your life do what is right for you.
