Take it apart as much as you can and use a hairdryer. Like if she has faceplates and stuff on it, take them all off, take out the battery and use a hair dryer to evaporate as much of the water as you can.

If it still doesn't work, see if there's any signs of water damage then take it back to the dealer. Say it just stopped working and you have no idea why, you think it short circuited or something. See if they will give you a replacement.

Good luck!

DO NOT USE A HAIRDRYER TO DRY THE PHONE!!! It can short circit the the phone and cause it to be useless. your best bet is to let it dry out by way of air. If you take it apart, look at the battery, on the bottom of it, there's a little bit that has changed color, that's the mositure alert. That means that the phone needs to dry. If it doesn't work in a day or two, take it into the store. They'll be able to help you. BUT DO NOT USE A HAIRDRYER TO DRY OUT THE PHONE!!!

Man, I hate to tell you that unless she had insurance on that phone, she may have to pay for another phone. I washed a total of three (blushes guiltily-sp?) and now I have my first camera phone, which compared to others out in the market is pretty cheap, but it contains tons of pics and I'd hate it if I washed it again. I called and told them what had happened to the first one, I didn't have insurance, I ended up buying another ...then another...then this one yikes!

there may be a chance to save it strip the phone down & leave to dry out completely but NOT on top of a fire or anything like that
