In many ways, helped, though I don't believe that most US citizens realize it yet.

First, it helps me because it makes me feel superior to my neighbors, many of whom wouldn't know what "outsourcing" was if it jumped up and, um, took their jobs.

But seriously, it makes the world smaller and flatter, and that has to be a good thing for all of us. The whole world, I mean. Sure, there'll be greater competition, but man thrives on competition, in my opinion. International interdependence in business can only bode well for us, I think.

It'll take a lot of adjustments to get where we're going, but what in history hasn't? And I do believe that we keep moving forward in many ways. Yes, we take some giant leaps backward, but the general direction is (figuratively) toward the stars.

But who are you, and why are you asking these questions? Email me if you wish, I'm curious. (They're great questions.)

Are you kidding? Have you tried calling tech support.

For the consumer it hasn't been all that great. I think company's are realizing this and the great "touted" outsourcing of America is a bit premature at best.
