You have to risks in love. If you don't, you could be playing the "what-if" game forever.

At least talk about it. She may be feeling the same way. Someone has to take the first step. How will you know if you don't talk about it?

You are so true in saying that she may not feel comfortable about it if she doesn't feel the same way, but you have to take chances in love. Nothing in life is guaranteed except life and death. All the goes in between is filler. Fill you life with happiness.

I hope this helps you...
My husband whom ive been married to for two years...
was my best friend all throughout highschool and after.
He didnt tell me for 6 years, but eventually i did know!
And a relationship grew, of course it was on my terms...
i didnt fall in love with him until way later i resisted at first
but now i am totally in love and happy! And he had
been in love with me since we first met!
It can happen and i think you should write it in
a note that way you have everything you need to say.

Also after you do this dont expect her to reciprocate
it , at least not right away give her space to just be
friends for a while it may come as a shock!
Or it may be what she has been waiting for!
I married my best friend and we are happily married!

I would honestly think after 10 years, you would have the guts to tell her and if she feels uncomfortable about it after being with you for that long, then something is definately wrong.

10 years is a long time. :) What I suggest is to just kind of slowly lay it on her. Maybe start doing things like surprising her with flowers and showing a little romance. Things like that. Just kind of lure her into it.
I hope that helps. :)

best friend is the key word here if she really is then she either will be shocked and back off but love u as a friend still or dive in.. best friends are just that tho.. so tell her what ur about to say is because #1 she is and #2 you want to be in her life no matter what or how.. but here goes.. ( then say how u felt and why got to have the reasons why)

Dont tell her unless your already in a serious relationship and your both commited to eachother. Tell her when your ready. If she doesnt accept you then accept that fact and remain friends. Then she will earn respect for you and proabably eventually accept your offer.

I've seen this problem in like 1325135124642545 drama movies. Now, if your like the guys in the movies then your a toal dork and she's your bestest friend ever!!! I would feel totally flattered if my best guy friend told me that he loved me in a birthday card.......you should experiment and try it.

If it has been 10 years and she has not figured it out then she is either not interested or she does not want to say anything for fear of losing you as a friend.

Life is about taking chances. Don't let your fears stop you, tell her how you feel. If she doesn't return those feelings then you will know and not spend the rest of your life wondering about "what could of been."
