"If you have fleas everywhere in your house, a good way to get rid of them is to create a soap water mixture. Place it below a light. The warmth seeking fleas will dive into the mixture. After a day, you will see a bowl full of suicide fleas!"

Note: I have personally used this technique, and it really worked for me. I just mixed laundry detergent and water.

I am afraid they are right, you will need to call a professional exterminator, unless you can keep the baby off the carpet, couches, and any other areas where the fleas may hide,in which case I would get a stong flea powder, use as directed, and then rent a steam cleaner,to be certain the flea powder was properly removed.this methed would take about two days I belive, but might be slightly more affordable then the exterminator, and to be honest,I would talk to a manager before I let the exterminator spay, and explain to him that you have a baby, just to be double sure.

Sprinkle Borax all over the carpets, brush it in with a broom, let it sit for about 6 hrs. Then vacuum the floors. The fleas will eat the soap and die.

if u don't want to bomb u could try sprays or powder on carpets. U could also call a exterminator. Either way u'll be using chem. Fleas are like roaches u got to stay on top of them or they will resurface
