How would you treat others if you were ugly?

I've always been not good-looking. Confident and smart. Just always physically unattractive, face-wise.

It's never bothered me. I treat people like people, women like coworkers and respectable people. I have no desire to date anyone. I'm 26.

But I've been thinking: How would you approach life, generally, in our increasingly image-driven society, if it was obvious you were physically undesirable? I'd appreciate it if you could answer from the perspective of a male.

Go on treating them most amicably. The skin-deep thing sometimes becomes irrelevant. Go, date as well. You'll not be disappointed.

My dad was disfigured in an accident when he was young. He has always treated others kindly, with respect, been helpful, etc. As far as his personality goes, he has a razor sharp wit and is very engaging. He likes to talk, tell stories, etc. People adore him. I know his appearance bothers him but those are the cards he was dealt.

By the by, despite his disfigurement, he has never had any problems with the ladies. And I'm talking about attractive, educated ladies at that.

First of all you probably look fine you are just to harsh on your self and don't let it bug if they judge in image then they are just stupid and you shouldn't care what people like the think. Just live as if you would always live it shouldn't matter.

i used to be 100 lbs bigger and totally undesireable and i was still the same inside as today, just a bit less confident. i treat others like i wanna be treated until they tick me off

id treat people with respect no matter what i looked like. However, if theyre not deserving of respect i would just stay away from them.
