you had me until limp bizkit. metallica great, one of the best rock bands ever. disturbed's new stuff is real good. i really liked Chevell when they first came out. how 'bout some old school, motor head! judas priest, black sabbath. heavy metal songs: hit the lights by metallica also seek and destroy, jump in the fire etc. do yourself a favor and go get kill'em all, metallica's first album. real fast loud hard metal. oh, and ROCK ON!

I actually like Nickelback quite a bit, personally. I know that recently they have started to become over-commercialized, but even before they were as popular as they are now, they were still putting out very good music.
They're best song is probably "How You Remind Me" off of Silver Side Up.
As far as heavy metal goes (I don't listen to as much of it as I do just rock) I think my favorite is probably Slipknot. I especially like their most recent album, Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses.
