I'm allergic too, but I have 2 cats and 5 guinea pigs. I got tested and take shots once a month and I'm fine. It's not the fur, Its the dander from the animals skin. Sometimes it's the mold and dust mites that have collected on the animals fur. The shots don't hurt at all, the needle is real short....Go for it.

Get a fish tank or a non-shedding dog like a yorkie...they have hair and not fur....people with allergies are usually allergic to the animals dander, which animals with fur have....but some dogs dont have fur that sheds. Good Luck

There are many breeds of domestic pets that are bred nowdays for their non allergenic qualities.
Look at breeds of dogs like the Labradoodle and a dog crossed with the Spaniel (can't remember its name, but ask around at a pet store or a vet, they'll probably be able to tell you :) ).
There are a couple of breeds of cat that are bred for allergies too, the Sphinx and Rex cats. The Sphinx is all wrinkles and skin, and the Rex has very short, usually curly "wool" instead of fur, and big ears. The Sphinx is a very unusual cat, and the Rex is kinda cute, once you get used to it.
failing this, you could always go for hermit crabs, or fish or snakes or the like! Fish make great pets, I have 9 of them (we have comets...a common goldfish, they can be quite "affectionate" in their own way, and they can be very comical, great pets!).
I hope this helps you out! :)

If it's the fur you're allergic to then get an animal that doesn't shed often. If that doesn't work then just get some medicine.

I don't know if you're interested in owning a dog. There are dogs that don't shed and shedding is what can aggravate your allergies. My cousin is allergic to animal fur, but she did some research and found a breed called Bichon Frise. They are cute small dogs and don't shed. As far as I know, poodles don't shed either.
Good luck.

Get an animal without fur, like a bird or a fish. Birds are pretty cool. Fish die early, though.

Get a bird or fish or reptile.
But there are some types of dogs that never/rarely shed. You could consider one of those. They are good if you are allergic.

some pets, like a bichon frisé, actually have hair and not fur. Best thing, would be to research animals that you would not be allergic to.

There are some dog breeds that are non shedding. Fish can be quiet entertaining. Reptiles and birds make great pets.Check out Allerpet.com!
