I have heard it's about 1 hour long, and that the person on the other line isn't allowed to respond to the things you say, making it a little intimidating... thanks for reading:)

I haven't had an interview with them per se. But I have had lots of interviews, inc. Phone interviews.

1. Know the company.
2. Know why you want the job.
3. Have a 30 second and 5 minute "Commercial" prepared about yourself.
4. have your resume handy.
5. Rewrite the job posting into bullets, that cut out the fluff.
6. Write bullets about yourself that "solve" all the above bullets.
7. Forget about any other jobs you may have in the hopper.
8. Plan/Imagine that this is your career, what would that mean
9. Put yourself in the shoes of the interviewer, solve her problems by being easy to deal with.
10. Speak extra clear, especially when giving numbers.
11. It is okay to take time to answer a question. Just say "that's a good question, I'm going to need a moment before I answer"
12. Beware the "pregnant pause" sometimes they don't talk, hoping you will fill the "dead air" giving yourself away. It is ok to have a small break.
13. Don't bring up salary. If they bring it up before you are offered the position say "I would be glad to discuss it once I'm offered the position, but I'm sure what your range fits what I have in mind."

Good Luck!

That sounds strange. Though I do love their makeup. I wish you luck....just be careful that it's not some kind of a setup or something. Make sure it's on the level and not some fake trying to get personal information from you as there is a lot of identity theft going on. Like I said that really sounds very very strange, a 1 hour phone interview with Clinique. You would think it would be held in person.

Stay safe, hun!! It does sound a little weird... I dont see why its a phone interview. Keep a cell by you so you can call the police just in case you know...

Smile when you talk, you can hear it in your voice. Let the person know that you are happy to be there and to be given an opportunity to talk.
