What is the best time/day to go see a newly released movie, to avoid crowds?

Oh and as a side question... Why do movie theatres allow people to enter R movies with with small (loud) children or babies?

between 10am and 3pm

Because they are accompanied by their parents, young children are allowed, as a rule theatres need to have the ushers enforce parents to remove themselves and children if they are being loud, complain if they don't I have and gotten free movie passes for the time away fro the film to go and complain.

Weeknights, as late as possible. You miss out on the matinee prices, but you miss out on the kids, too.

The ratings are guidelines. If a child is accompanied by a parent, they can go to any movie they want. The theatre employees don;t get paid enough to do anything about it.

I think parents who allow their kids to be noisy in theatres need to be taken into the parking lot and beaten.
