Go to http://www.towerrecords.com or http://www.amazon.com and search for a band you know and love. (you'll have to look at one of their albums..) on the page they will list a bunch of bands that are like "if you like this you'll also like.." Go to some of the recomended bands albums and listen to sample tracks to find what you like. Thats what I do.
