Then it makes me shut it down. What can I do to fix this problem without having to restore. It also happens on Microsoft paint and Microsoft works.

Either you have a virus, malware, spyware and/or your OS is corrupted. First try running an anti-virus scan and then check to see if you have malware or spyware try ad-ware and spybot search and destry both are free you can either put them in a search engine to find them or goto pcworld.com and click on downloads and look for it.
You might also have to re-install those other programs as well as the OS.

Sounds like a system error. Might be a corruption in a Windows file. I would use the repair function on your Windows disk. Or, you may need to format your drive and do a complete new install of Windows.

def a virus...i would consider purchasing the new norton anti virus disk, down load...and it does all the cleanup for u.....

uninstall ur internet explorer, restart ur pc, re-install it back again !
