Without knowing where your other interests are, my advice is to spend six months to a year figuring out what makes you happy. Really think about... What will make you happy?
Take some classes that seem interesting, and if somethings hard, don't give up right away, keep at it:) You're young (so am I thou), so be open minded and realize the world is your oyster, all you have to do is dig around in a bunch of'em to find the pearl. It's there, waiting; don't be afraid to go after it.
I don't know if that was more of a pep talk then advice, but if you want to contact me, talk about, feel free. Best of luck hun!

Well you are already on a good track with being in school. You might enjoy construction more though, if you got more out of it. Like learning new skills, that might lead to more pay. I don't know if you work on buildings or roads, but learning new things might make you more valuable to an employer, then later you might enjoy it more. Perhaps you would care to think about a military career, at least for one term to learn a new skill or two.
Target your schooling towards classes that can help you in new jobs, like computer classes, office management classes, accounting classes, or whatever. But before you do, think about the type of work environment you would like to be in. What you would prefer to wear to work, things like that. A nice cushy office job is great for making new friends and meeting women. Hour lunches, office picnics, stuff like that can make it worthwhile. Contact some temporary agencies for more guidance. You might have hidden skills you didn't know you had, that they would be willing to pay for.

Does your college program offer a co-op? This may be an opportunity to get your foot in the door with an employer that hires people in your field. You may also try volunteering in the community doing work that you enjoy. After a period of doing volunteer work, let everybody know you are trying to find some part-time work to help you along while you are in college and keep an eye on the websites of various organizations you are interested in ... and keep in touch with their hiring managers. Sooner or later, they are going to need somebody, so why not that person be you?

My advice, see your college adviser who can give your some tests (don't worry these don't hurt) that can help point you in the right direction. These tests measure your skills and aptitudes and then recommend fields you may consider going into. You may also want to consider job shadowing at a job that you would like to have. Example, If you were considering being a police officer, most police departments allow ride alongs to show you what their job is like, you just have to contact your local police department.

dude i know the feeling. 21 graduated from a community college and at a boring office job with no clue what i want to do. Figure out what you really want to be doing in life, what you enjoy, what you're good at and go for it. You only live once.

I have always heard that if there was a job you would do for free, that's what you'll really love. Now personally, I am a manager at a hotel, and I love it! Hospitality is a fantastic career!!

Tell yourself it's only temporary. Set a date when you'll quit. Save your money. Stay in school.
