No. I would not pay, if you were not informed about that, then you should be entitled to a warning at least.
Go to court and you should not have to pay a single penny.
Honest people work hard.

In a very few places there are still what they call "Blue laws" still on the books ... I did not know they enforced them anywhere though. I would check with the local courthouse and make sure it is not a scam though. If it is ligit it may not be financially worth fighting;however, you may want to based on principal. BTW I am a Christian and God actually instructed the Jews (his chosen people) not gentiles to set aside the Sabbath. The basic principle to set aside one day a week for God is good ... especially if you do hard labor like construction work.
Anyway if the fine is ligit I do not think it is right to get a fine for such an obscure law with no warning - does not seem very Christian, MAC

To be ticketed for working on Sunday sounds bogus to me. Perhaps is this work took place in a specialized neighborhood or township, it could be possible. But I think you should go to court and ask why it determined by the officer that he should write you a ticket. Tell them you did not know, no one made you aware of it, and you would have appreciated a warning, rather than a ticket, because you have never heard of such a thing. Neither have I. And I don't think many people have ever heard of such a thing before.

Where are you at? This is a big planet and it may be illegal to do certain activities on Sunday. I would suggest a little research into the laws and ordinances of your local area. I have worked every Sunday for the past year and a half ( they haven't caught me yet. HA! HA!)

Umm, thats really odd. I've never heard of someone getting fined for working on Sunday, but I guess it might be different depending on the state you live in. But no, as far as I know its not illegal. I'd be asking some questions.

Do not pay, go to court and fight for your right. HE has no right to ticket you, you can work whenever you want. Good luck at your construction job and I hoped we've helped.

Fight it. That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Unless there's some regulation in your work/town then you can work on Sundays. . .

Government and religion aren't supposed to mix. You can't be fined for something like that. You should contest it.
