depends on your browser.
on Firefox, go to Preferences, then Privacy, select History and press Clear History Now.
on Internet Explorer, go to Internet Options (windows) or preferences (mac), go to "Advanced" to get to "Clear History" (you might as well clear cache here too.)
on Safari, it's pretty easy. under "history" just go to "clear history". Safari has a selection called "Private Browsing" so you don't have to do this everytime.
With Netscape, go to Preferences, go to Navigator, and select "History", then "Clear History" (similar for Mozilla)
Hopefully this will help you. I'm using a Mac so things might be different if you are using Windows versions.

You need to go to tools then select clear private data, then click cookies then select clear. If you just go to history the cookies are not deleted.

tools, internet options, delete cookies,delete files,clear history, make the days 0 and then go to content, autocomplete,clear forms, ok, click ok and there you have it. Hope it helps.

You could do that or use this utility which once installed makes it effortless. Plus, it gets rid of temporary internet files, cookies, etc.
